Description

This is not a stand-alone application. Do not install it, if you are not a user of our @Voice Aloud Reader app, as otherwise it will not do anything useful for you.

This plugin is necessary to use "Add from Google Drive" function on the Reading List menu of the main @Voice Aloud Reader app version 9.8.0 or higher. It has the necessary permissions and code to let you login with Google and download the files from your Google Drive storage.

Why a separate plugin? Mostly because of user paranoia - syncing with Google Drive requires user identity through contacts access right for an app. Otherwise its impossible to login to Google Drive. However, many users complained when I added the identity/contacts permission to the main @Voice app, thinking I would by "spying on them". Therefore the main app does not need this permission any more.

    4 stars: Clear \u0026 Boldly Advertised, as Non Needed. If the app doesn't help syncing Google Drive There's no use for creating this plugin. Perhaps adding more options, that are useful. Include additional settings, features \u0026 options. Preferably, try add-ons within the app itself, or helpfully assist settings \u0026 features.
    5 stars: The best companion ever. Am a novelist and I always save my unfinished work in Drive everytime I update it. Whenever I want to edit it,that is after I have listened to my own work repeatedly, of course courtesy of @voice developer, retrieving it from net is easy and I know it's been enhanced by the plugin, from my small IT knowledge. It's infact the most used App in my phone. Keep the good job up.
    3 stars: I really love this app and plugin, but the plugin stopped working about a week ago. It no longer accesses new articles in my @Voice Google Drive folder. I now must go to my Google Drive app, download the file to my phone, and then navigate to the file on my phone to add it to my @Voice library manually. Is anyone else experiencing problems with the plugin? Using a Pixel 2 phone, with Android 9.
    3 stars: Send to work well but it is always running in the background. Can you please change so that it only runs when @voice is launched and running? It should then close when@voice is shutdown (after it finishes syncing). It would be nice if this was customizable in the program if there is disagreem
