Considering the game is nearly twenty years old, the graphics are extremely dated but this has allowed the game to be played within a browser. Players can join multiplayer classic terrorists Counter Strike matches, play against bots or play single-player campaigns and scenarios. A huge range of custom options and settings are available to play around with. While the nostalgia and novelty are initially fun, the lack of a player base means near constant bot matches and single-player content. Counter Strike 1.6: Half Life Mod also requires specific browsers and Unity plug-ins to work and can often encounter technical issues. Despite these problems, having a free version of classic Counter Strike available to play in a browser is fun enough in its own right.
