App Lab is a web-based programming environment that lets you create and share short computer programs. Similar to other development hubs, Scratch and Snap, this software caters to students and programming novices . It features a visual, block-based programming language that lets users build programs via a drag-and-drop interface. However, unlike other programming apps, App Lab different can switch to “text mode ” and start coding in JavaScript . This ability to toggle between block and text mode allows users to compare programming blocks with their text-based counterparts. App Lab also comes with an asset manager that lets you upload images and sounds to your program. It also allows the addition of animation using its setTimout block function. Finally, programs created in App Lab are easily shareable with the share button on top of every program. This button generates a link that you can copy and paste on social media , e-mail , and SMS .
