5 stars: I've used this app for the better part of a decade and at least three phones. Still receives regular updates, works well, simple to use for anyone familiar with photo editors, and some customization of the interface is available (not a lot, but also keeps it simple). For a free app, it's amazing. Yes ads. Click them sometimes. The dev deserves money.
5 stars: Really simple, does all the basic stuff you need without pretending to be photoshop. Use this app 90% of the time for things like crop, overwrite, and image conversion. It offers a lot more, with a specific button for each tool, instead of the numerous menus that you usually look through in other software.
4 stars: I've used this app for years and it's still the best out there, in my opinion, however some of the updates have been backwards steps in my opinion. Nothing major but the functionality of some of the effects has been changed for little to no gain and even, in a couple of instances, to the detriment of the effect. Still a wonderful app that I highly recommend.
4 stars: Photos edited/overwitten with this app (8.1.1) stop displaying EXIF metadata in Google Photos (Android 12, Pixel 5). Can't correct image skew anymore. White balance / color cast isn't as easy to correct as older versions. July 2022 update removed ability to disable ads. I will probably purchase because I like the crop and resize/resample, save, overwrite features better than other dumbed down apps.
