You can play with virtual player if no online opponent is online. Virtual player is an AI player who is smart enough to give you tough competition.
You can realtime multiplayer with your online friend by inviting him.
In 'Random Opponent' mode, you will be playing against virtual player. You need to bet some cash before game starts. Virtual player plays at the same time as you play. You can see his screen on top left corner of your screen.
