Ted uses RSS and Bittorrents to provide you with the latest episodes of your favorite shows. It relies on several torrent sites such as TorrentReactor, Mininova and TVRSS for new episodes of TV shows. To prevent ted automatically downloading fake torrents, you can add keywords for it to look for such as those of your favorite torrent packager or something that fakes usually don't have in their titles. This is also particularly useful if you don't want to keep downloading torrents in the wrong language.
You should note that ted should only be used for downloading those torrents that are legal. Some of the sites it uses - such as The Pirate Bay - have already had some of their content restricted due to legal reasons and so it must be used responsibly.
