Outdooractive: Hiking & Biking Trails, GP APK 3.7.14

5 stars: Always loved looking at maps and this is fantastic, the Pro+ yearly sub is a bit expensive but considering all the maps you get it's actually not that bad. I've used Viewranger previously and the different map costs soon mounted up with that as well. I have OS Maps and find the zoom function a bit flakey but not with this so far. Not used it out on the hills and in all honestly don't that much so can't comment.
3 stars: App does what it needs to do, but less intuitive than ViewRanger in my opinion. My biggest gripe is the lack of sattelite view. I really do miss that feature. EDIT: For those wanting/needing satellite map, it actually does exist. But yet again, it's not that obvious where to find it. I found the following instructions: \
3 stars: Good when it works. It keeps losing my OS maps which is pretty much the point of having it, even as back up to paper maps. Tracks sometimes stop recording as so overall I'm not happy with it, more so given it's a paid for subscription and the app it replaced (Viewranger) was perfectly good.
4 stars: Used both outdooractive and viewranger apps for recording hike on the same phone simultaneously ,GPS was bad on The outdooractive app it recorded only 6.9kms and the viewranger app was perfect at 10kms , there's still a lot of work to be done on GPS system on the outdooractive app to catch up with the viewranger app .
