3 stars: There are improvements over the old version. However, three issues really irritate me. 1. I can no longer customize the sections that appear at the top of my screen. To get to my local suburban newspaper, i must dig through a big list in the menu. 2. The article previws are mow huge. One article preview consumes most of my screen. it is much harder to scroll through the headlines now. 3. \
3 stars: Biggest issue I have with the Tribune app is that it does not keep place if I switch to another app then back to finish reading the story - it always takes me back to the beginning. Same thing happens when I view an embedded video. Having a progress bar on the side to give me an idea how much of the article I've read would be the 2nd item I'd fix.
