4 stars: I just started using it. This is definitely a pay to play app. You can't message unless you buy credits. However, there seem to be a lot of real, high quality women using the app.
3 stars: I have yet to experience the fake profiles (mostly due to lack of messages) but paying to message people is always a sour note in my book. My main criticism however, is that the app caters exclusively for monosexual people (either straight OR gay). Being bi, I would like to be able to see everyone. Instead of a drop-down menu for who you're looking for, a tick-list would be better á la Taimi or feeld.

Depending on your location, you can expect to pay $2-3 in credits per interaction, credits may only be purchased in bulk with the entry point at $90. Given the cost, there is little activity from users and almost no incentive to log in. AM needs to seriously rethink their model. Skip this one.
