Nurikabe are addictive island-forming puzzles which were invented in Japan. Using pure logic and requiring no math to solve, these fascinating puzzles offer endless fun and intellectual entertainment to puzzle fans of all skills and ages.

Each puzzle consists of a grid containing clues in various places. The object is to create islands by partitioning between clues with walls so that the number of squares in each island is equal to the value of the clue, all walls form a continuous path and there are no wall areas of 2x2 or larger. Each island must contain one clue and be isolated from other islands horizontally and vertically.

The game features a highlighting option to help see if a wall segment is about to become isolated, and an island size counter to view how many squares belong to an island.

4 stars: I only wish you would get more puzzles for what you pay. The controls are easy and intuitive. One of the best I've seen for this type of puzzle

4 stars: While the puzzles you do get to play are good and fun, most puzzles are locked behind insane paywalls - there's 250 packs ranging from $1 to $4 each, and I don't understand why that is even a thing to begin with.
5 stars: My favourite Conceptis puzzle game. All levels are solvable with logic (no guessing). There is a help menu that describes all of the required techniques if you are having trouble identifying them. If you have finished all of the free ones, there are weekly puzzles and purchasable puzzle packs. Top tier puzzle game.
5 stars: Starts you gently and - at least seems to so far! - explain(s) the rules really well. Really good advice about solving techniques (again, so far) - helpful without spoiling the 'puzzling out how it works' experience. Seems plenty of free puzzles to get you going.
