GlobalProtect for Android connects to a GlobalProtect gateway on a Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewall to allow mobile users to benefit from enterprise security protection. Enterprise administrator can configure the same app to connect in either Always-On VPN, Remote Access VPN or Per App VPN mode. The app automatically adapts to the end user’s location and connects the user to the best available gateway in order to deliver optimal performance for all users and their traffic, without requiring any effort from the user. This allows users to work safely and effectively at locations outside of the traditional office.

Before installing this app, please check with your IT department to ensure that your organization has enabled a GlobalProtect gateway subscription on the firewall.

5 stars: Great product to dramatically improve the security of corporate devices and networks. The ability to properly protect all the network traffic to the devices, including phones, makes those devicesuch safer to use, in any situation. Only issues we've encountered had to do with our firewall end, not this app, and were quickly resolved.
4 stars: Constant notification that GlobalProtect is Running. Lacks settings to mute / configure which notification are displayed. Obviously I could care less if it's

Sometimes when my network changes (e.g. from WiFi to cellular) I have to refresh the connection manually which isn't great for non-techy users as the app doesn't even acknowledge a problem (similar to the Windows app but far more frequent on Android). Also, I despise the persistent notifications. Please sort this.
3 stars: Works stable, BUT. No opportunity to close the app without using force stop via device settings. Totally inconvenient
2 stars: The always on notification is really annoying. When I'm not using the VPN it says the app is still running and I have no way to stop it. I would like it stop running when not in use. Please fix this!
2 stars: Because it has a consistent notification and auto starts on reboot, I know when my phone applied updates and rebooted overnight. How does is this delivered as an acceptable product?
