From the makers of popular image editing app Fhotoroom comes Masks, which allows you to make pretty pictures with some interesting shapes (masks) and filters. Masks Use funky shapes to transform your images
When you open Masks, you either start off by taking a photo or by uploading one from your camera. Then you have to crop it (no choice here) and start applying 'masks', which are essentially editable shapes that you place in front of your main photo to create interesting effects. These masks range from simple designs, such as a circle, to more complex shapes, such as doves and peace signs.
Some masks are designed for novelty use but some enhance your photos and, if the free selection isn't good enough, you can buy some more.
Once you've chosen your mask you can start the editing process. To do this, you can apply filters (standard ones you will find in other apps) to each part of the image or rotate and swap the two segments. There is also an undo and redo button and a reset photo option.

Masks' user interface is clean and simple and it makes it pretty easy to understand what to do. There are three main buttons: one to choose the mask, one to edit the mask and one to edit the background. The buttons at the top turn the mask, the foreground and the background upside down. Once you've played around with it you will quickly pick it up, but a short tutorial would help.

Masks isn't designed to seriously improve the quality of your images, it's more about adding some cool effects. There aren't a lot of editing options (masks, filters and rotate, mainly), but the ones included in Masks allow you to add a lot of quirkiness.
It will never become your main photo editing app , but if you enjoy playing around with your photos then Masks offers some unique and fun features .
