Chaque joueur joue alternativement,
Chaque joueur commence par placer ses 10 pions, chacun son tour en essayant de réaliser une des 3 figures pour gagner la partie
Une fois les 20 pions posés sur le plateau, chacun leur tour, les joueurs déplacent 1 pion:
soit d’un trou vers un autre à proximité immédiate,
soit en sautant par dessus un pion déja placé à proximité, et ceci autant de fois que cela est possible (comme au jeu de dames), mais sans obligation de réaliser tous les sauts possibles, au choix du joueur, suivant les possibilités que cela lui procure.
