5 stars: I like wire however I cannot get the notifications to work on Android Oreo. I followed troubleshooting. Otherwise it would be a perfect app. Update: I rebooted the phone and the notifications started working! Great! Request: most options in the troubleshooting are not available on Oreo, it would be great to have system-specific versions.
5 stars: Well designed, secure, no lag -- what I want from a messaging app. Text, hand-drawn, voice, and video messaging all work well. The ping and location options were appreciated during travel. No phone number required to register. The company philosophy regarding disclosure of user information was the clincher for me, as other messaging apps that may be secure in the front (app) end have dubious or insecure policies on the company side.
3 stars: Consistently tells me I don't have internet even though I do. Sends messages out of order, sometimes hours or even days later, if it sends them at all. Not sure what happened, been using it for a while and it used to be fine. Super frustrating when you're trying to carry on a conversation.
4 stars: i like the app and there are three areas of improvement. first it takes time to deliver massages or it doesn't work at background. So, I have to use the phone to get massages. second, add stickers like competitors. third, send bottom sometimes disappeared. i wish you the best
